Impressed that your were able to get hydraulic unit out, take it apart, find problem and improvise to find a solution--all on an overnight stay. Again, great video. Thanks for posting.
I like what you are trying to do here during cyclone season. Risky for you, an education for the rest of us. Getting stuck in Vanuatu wouldn’t be so bad. Santo is a beautiful island with great Kava.

Hello Thomas I love watching your videos I wish you can make more a lot faster but I'm a patient man I enjoy your videos when they do come thank you for sharing God bless you stay safe
Thank you so much for being patient🙏🏻 It has been challenging and long sailing through cyclone season. But now I’m safe and are ready to publish more frequent again. All the best 🍻
Thank you so much🙏🏻 2024 gonna be quite a year! Looks like I’m forced to round the cape of Africa as things escalate in the Middle East. Suez looks like a bad alternative for a while
Many thanks a treat to come down on my birthday and watch your latest video, looking forward to your invites into sailing about these systems fair winds.
Thank you so much my friend 🙏🏻 I’m working on a “All you need to know” video. From Europe to Asia. Timeframes weather and schedules. Basically things I wish I knew before I set sail. Coming soon 🍻
Hey Thomas! Since the last time I've commented my wife and I have put a Royal Cape Majestic 500 under contract. It is currently lying in Langkawi. Hope our paths cross in the future! Great informative video!
Hey that’s epic! I’m heading that way so might see you guys there. Don’t be shy if you see BE FREE⛵️ All the best and good luck with your buying process
A new video from Thomas on a rainy , dreary day here in Los Angeles is a great pick me up. Thanks Thomas and looking forward to the rest of the sail. Take care.
Thank you so much🙏🏻 Saudi Arabia would be exiting to visit. Lots of activity in the Middle East at the moment though, so not sure my planned route that direction will be followed. Was thinking about Dubai as well. Time will show. All the best
Maybe one day! Who knows what the future brings. Good to know there is friends and invitations around. Thank you so much for being here 🙏🏻 All the best
Many thanks for your videos and all the information you teach us. Now when you talk about cyclone seasons don't you want to talk about insurance and insurance companies in relation to solo sailing in general and hurricane/cyclone seasons in particular? Snowy and cold greetings from Sweden 💕😄😀🇸🇪
Thank you so much for watching, and your questions. Insurance is a challenge for sailing solo in general as not all companies accept this without really good documentation of experience. As for cyclones and named storms no insurance cowering you during cyclone season. So this is a risk, but then again sitting in a marina in a cyclone zone is in my opinion even a greater risk. Also my experience with insurance is not that good end of the day. In San Andres my insurance would cover me, but I did not like the idea watching BE FREE being destroyed and sink. So I sailed away for safety. If I stayed where my insurance would cover me, I would not have BE FREE anymore. Unfortunately during my evacuation I also helped three useless sailors to safety. This cost me the rest of my budget and an expensive lesson learned. The damages from lightning was not covered as I sailed in rainy season in the region south of San Andres. So insurance are not to be trusted end of the day, still I have insurance because lots of places will not let you in without one. But if it’s worth the money I’m not so sure anymore. All the best
Very informative video Thomas. Great summarize of Fiji and its people as well as the weather and the paths you are planning to sail and escape strategies. Safe travels
wow Thomas, was getting worried after your video and the weather you were anticipating. Amazing sailor and learning so much from you, thank. Stay safe and enjoy every moment. cheers
Thank you so much for thinking about me 🙏🏻 I’m sorry I had to keep you waiting. Long distance sailing with maintenance and everything that goes with this lifestyle makes it hard running a one man show on every aspect. Sometimes there is just not enough hours in the day for me. Thank you so much for being here
Ha ha🤣 No Fiji wife or gf for me. I’m happy sailing solo for a while.. just like Bob Marley so well said it: No woman no cry... All the best and thank you for watching
Hi Thomas, I followed your advise and sailed all the way to Nawi Marina. It is as nice and special as you said but the pool isn't finished yet even one year later 😀. I even followed your track through the labyrinth to the main island's south. I am trying to catch up to you but you are too fast, haha
Yeah that’s mission impossible. It’s a labyrinth out of there and takes a day and even more for most sailboats. Not always rules and regulations are based in reality but made by someone with little knowledge about what it takes. Anyway they are so sweet and kind so I believe there is no problem with unintended delays. All the best
Hi Thomas another great video. do you ever hear from the Captain, he's not put a video on for a long time. I hope everything is ok with him and his family.

The only thing they couldn’t eat was his boots LOL. I have a lot of good friends which I consider my family over there. I have been offered many times some land over there to build a house on it, and I really enjoying the Fiji lifestyle like you said they are absolutely beautiful people , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺👨🏻🦽
Hey Cliff! Thank you so much for watching and even sharing. Fiji is absolutely amazing and one of very few groups of islands I could enjoy living full time. All the best my friend

Happy New Year Thomas, great video once again.Im wondering the process if you couldn’t fix the auto pilot is there an emergency process in place where immigration allow a sailing visitor once checked out can overstay till repairs are done, safe sailing,Dirk.
